I see. Be aware, and you will be advised how to handle, but if any of the files exceed 4GB, Fat32 will balk and not allow a copy. You'll be advised to use a list of Diskpart commands and some finagling, but it should be ok. Still my opinion no matter how you get anything on the thumb, F11 is gonna do the same. But, we'll see.

    Best of luck.

When you press F11 - you should be presented with 2 options to Boot from that USB
Those options will depend on how your BIOS is setup...
If you have Legacy / CSM support enabled and/or Secure Boot Enabled...
so depend on BIOS Legacy Settings and if USB Partition is set to active - you should see a Boot Menu Entry in Legacy mode
and you should also see a Boot Menu Entry for USB-UEFI

OK guys... sorry for the delay in getting back to you.

I decided to just reinstall Win10 but could not use built in recover/restore.
Actually partition table was screwed so I created a new one which is fine.

I created a Win10 USB install drive and have commenced installing from it
    but have an issue.

I used PassGet to get the OEM product key that the computer was using but
Windows Install will not accept it. Just says product key did not work to try
    again.

It was a Windows 8 computer when she got it so the product key was originally
for Windows 8. Could that be the issue?

Or possibly it can't connect to internet?

    Thanks for everything again,
    John

I Windows 10 was previously installed then when you get to that point, just click on I don't have a key. Once the install completes it will activate with the digital license stored on the Microsoft server. Even if that failed, if the PC came with Windows 8 then the original key will be embedded in firmware.

Use ShowKeyPlus, see what it says if necessary. Shouldn't be though.
You can also just download ShowKeyPlus and run it instead of downloading and installing it from the MS Store.

    I already had it...

But I did click on "I don't have a key"

Windows would not install. Guess drive was bad.

    Switching drives now.

    Thanks zTrucker,

Well... I'm starting to get really pissy now.

So when I tried to install Win10 from the "Create Media Disk" (USB) on Microsoft's website, It got so far and said it could not install because of a corruped install file.

    OK... no big deal.

I opened a brand new 32g USB stick and also dug out a new UNUSED 500g hard drive.

Created a new install disk on MS's website and preceded to do another install.
    (HD Partition uses GPT)

Low and behold if I did not get the SAME EXACT THING. Corrupt install file. (so the install says)

    Any ideas guys?

    Thank you,
    John

PS - Maybe next I will switch USB ports and try again :)

It sounds a bit as it you're trying to install to an existing partition:
    (HD Partition uses GPT)
A clean install is to unallocated space.

I suggest you post screenshots/photos to demonstrate how you create the bootable USB drive and key choices on installing.
Note: you can choose not to accept updates as part of the installation procedure to simplify this, should you get so far.

    First see
    Clean Install Windows 10
and check you've done the appropriate thing - e.g. steps 11-14
