It has zero to not learning how to use a computer properly. It is about making mobile style devices last ling on battery, which is being pushed by students and journalists. If all that you are doing is browsing, listening or watching media, writing documents, these devices and OS versions will handle that. Anything more you will need either a desktop or laptop as you, I and others understand.

These newer chipsets that we are seeing are pushing AMD and Intel out of the marketshare for tablets. I use my iPad all day for email, browsing and Social Media. My desktop is used for office work and Macbook Air for when I do not need to be tethered to the desk. Adapt and overcome.

MS and other OS designers are going to be in control of their product. MS is trying to do with 10S, what Apple does with iOS and iPadOS. Even with Jailbreak, you are limited.
Yes. I bought the laptop because it was very cheap and I just want another windows laptop around in case my main one ever goes down and I can't do anything but download an iso, although I have and use Macrium Reflect. I just like to have another backup plan. anymore. I believe in lots of backup plans with windows 10. I sure don't want an operating system that I have no control over at all, that is precisely why I never bought an Apple machine.

I have Steam and Chrome running fine on her Galaxy Book 2 with 10S changed to 10 Home. The biggest issue is that you have to convert .msi files to .exe to get them to install. MicroOLAP runs.

She is very lucky to have someone that knows how to do those things. I can do some stuff but just would rather not tinker with stuff too much. I just need my computers to run as they should so I can take my classes. Thats probably another issue with windows 10S. I take my caregiving continuing education classes onlne and found out that using my chromebook is the easiest way as they use links to you tube for the instructional videos and still use adobe flash for their pop up class.I have to give permission for everything and it is a hassle. I have called and complained that they need to change things so Edge can be used.. Anyway I found it impossible to use Edge for some reason and do not use Internet Explorer anymore. I yet have to try the new Edge browser to see if it will work.

I have been looking at vivaldi lately. Maybe I will give them both a spin. I have been waiting for the new edge to be released as a final product. I thought I read that was going to happen sometime in the 4th quarter of this year.

Vivaldi is pretty slick. I've been playing with it a bit and is is very customize-able. May even work with the continuing ed classes.

It uses adobe flash? I have to get my classes done next month so I think I will download it and give it a spin. i used to have it installed around 4 years ago but never installed it back after a windows clean install.
