How to transfer or move pics from Photo App to Word?

Hello, my problem is an echo of so many asking about: "My pics are all over my computer." I asked the internet:

"How to transfer pictures from Photo App to Word?"

ALL answers gave solutions to transferring here to there and there to here but...not one had an answer to this particular question. I wonder if I asked the wrong question? Or the transfer from Photo App to Word just doesn't exist? I'm trying to keep all my pics in only one place so as to make it easier to find them. But don't feel comfortable with Photo App which seems to devour pics not only as I upload them but from my File Internet and Word too.

Will appreciate a lot any ideas. :) Adela

Not really sure what you're asking, I'm afraid. If you create a document in a word processing program, you can import an image from a file.

How do you transfer pictures from a UWP app such as Photos to a desktop program? You don't- you need to know where the file is.

    - perhaps you are referring to the way the app - if you let it- indexes images and creates albums. If this is not something you use or want, I suggest you consider disabling it.

So, the Windows App Photo's is an app that allows you to view and edit photos and save them where you wish, usually in the Pictures folder. Word is part of the Microsoft Office suite, which is a Work Processing app to read and write and type documents like a typewriter. So, you cannot move pics from a photo editing software to a Word Processing software. Though, you can embed photos in a Word document.
Perhaps you want to store your photos where you store your Word Documents in the Documents folder instead of the Pictures folder?

    Adela,

Yes, you did ask the wrong question.

Your photos are not "in" the photo app. But the photo app can be used to work on them.
Your photos would not be "in" Word. But you could paste them into a letter using Word.

Your photos are in your computer's disks or your camera's disks and you can use File explorer to find them all & reorganise them the way you want.

If you confirm that this is what you meant to ask then advice can & will be be given.

    Out In Space...

Yes a lot of people don't understand WHERE exactly their files are. They never learn to "browse" as now that word is associated with the internet also. Maybe in windows explorer search box she could search the "My PC" for ".jpg OR .png OR .gif OR .tiff". And add on any other extensions but she might not know what an extension is. After finding them all, COPY them to a new folder, then later she can go back and carefully delete the ones not i the new folder. Most beginners end up having them all in the "My Pictures" folder anyway....
(How do I make a new folder?) Oh Oh. I love helping others I really do but... it can be very frustrating also.

Depending on how many photos you have, and whether or not you want a "catalog" of these programs and your overall level of interest, consider Adobe Lightroom. The "Photographers Plan" is $10/month. For that, you get great cataloging (and editing) tools, and also Photoshop. It all depends ....
