    Arrow keys randomly type 2, 4, 6, or 8.

    Hi everyone,
First time poster! Does anyone know how to stop Windows 10 from randomly typing a 2, 4, 6 or 8 when using the arrow keys?
    Thank you,

Sounds like the computer thinks your arrow keys are numeric keypad keys. Does toggling NumLock have any effect?

    Hi Keith,

Thanks for your fast response! I tried toggling it off and on and it still happens. I've seen on TechNet people having this issue but it doesn't look like anyone has an answer for it.

Download the Keyboard Tester Utility and see what scancodes the arrouw keys are generating.

I've had similar issues in the past. I've always used Sharpkeys to fix them.

Do your arrow keys have any additional markings to indicate alternative functions? I'm thinking of additional markings similar to those you might see on your F1, F2, ... keys.

No, they are just the standard keys with no funtion icons on them. I will try out SharpeKeys to see what it can do. Thanks guys!

    No "e". "Sharpkeys"

It can be downloaded here: Releases . randyrants/sharpkeys . GitHub

"sharpkeys39.msi" is the easiest to install.

It will not only show you how your keys are mapped currently, but allow you to remap them any way you want. Great for situations such as this. And if you're into practical jokes you can really mess with someone's head.
