Actual location of my Library Folders/Files in my user directory

There seems to be quite a few helpful web pages/tutorials on creating/using Libraries. This site seems to be really great site for that type of help.

To qualify my help request - I know how to create and use Libraries. I do that a lot.

So, this post is different - I need to add their physical location to my daily backup routine, so I can save them as I change them, and at a later date, which will inevitably arrive, restore them.

Since I switched from 7 to 10 I haven't been able to find my little cheat sheets, and don't know where they are anymore.

Libraries are just Symbolic Links to the actual folder in your User Directory.

No - Libraries or more than 'Symbolic Links to the actual folder in your User Directory - the links themselves reside in the user directory, but:

1) They can be links to virtually any folder on a PC.

2) Nothing exists on a PC 'only' in a symbolic form. Everything is connected to some physical thing - in this case an actual data file with a pointer (literal description of a directory address) to an actual physical file, just like a shortcut on your desktop.

3) So, going back to my original question: Could someone please tell me where data files are located in my user directory, so I can find them and make backup copies?

Sorry for being terse, but I already did some net searching, but most people confuse where library files are located with where the files they are pointing to are located, and how to create and use Library files.

C:\Users\xxxxx\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Libraries

By default, for example, Documents is here:
Attachment 242524

But you can change that using the Location tab.

It took me a couple of minutes, but it appears you have created a text file in your Libraries that contains passwords - is that right?

So you got more than folder links in there?! That's a capability I was not aware of.

So I went back and walked though your image above, and now I see what you showed me was a way to find out where a file is located in the Property dialog box.

That's a good short cut that will come in handy.
