boot times and constant computer freeze

i bought a new dell laptop 2 weeks ago .i Its a dell laptop 4 gigs of ram.The cpu is an Intel i-7 and 320 hard drive.

problem long boot time 3-4 minutes sometimes longer. the only programs i run is u torrent , Firefox, opera and bs player. The programs usually freeze for 2-3 minutes .Some times the laptop just starts loudly beeping and becomes unable to unfreeze.

i have turned off some services following a guide i found online. There are at lease 60 services that still go on in the background.
I cant for some reason turn off the cortana voice even after following a guide.
I cant even disable programs i dont use like Skype.
Is there a list of services i can safety disable/ put on manual?

any info is a blessing ty for your time

As it's only 2 weeks old, I'd suggest:
    - backup your data
    - RESET the system first trying the Keep My Files option
    - if that doesn't fix it, then RESET using the Remove Everything option
    - if it still has problems, then contact the seller/Dell to return it.

Please note that Black Viper has stopped updating this as of the W10 1803 update - but it's still useful information.

Is Hibernate turned off and Fast Boot in the bios enabled? Disable Hibernate in cmd.exe by entering pwrcfg /hibernate off. As for the freezing, it really depends on the changes you have made, the fact that you are short on RAM and how many programs are running at the same time, while needing the CPU.

Every mfg is different. You are just looking through the bios not making changes to gather information on if it is set to not go through the POST check screen during boot phase.

If these are the programs you run, why are you using Windows? You would be much better served by using a version of Linux.

Why running two or more browsers at the same time? Just pick a preferred browser (I recommend Firefox) and uninstall the other ones.
Also, utorrent is ridden with adware and it's possibly the culprit of forcing Opera installation on your pc alongside other crap.
Get QBittorrent instead. It's free and open-source. Also adware-free.
