$60 is more on the ah, unaffordable end unfortunately. That will take some time and some saving but if it's the only option I guess it's the only thing I can do.
Is there any way to somehow update Windows offline since the inability to connect I think is the only thing stopping it from updating?

You can download the latest Windows 10 ISO on another computer, friend or family member.

    4. To Custom Install Windows 10 with an ISO file

    A) If you haven't already, you will need to download a Windows 10 ISO file.

Follow the reset of the directions.

    In this step:

    E) Click/tap on the Go online to install updates now option. (see screenshot below)

    click No thanks instead.

At Step 7 click on I don't have a product key. Your key is already saved as a digital entitlement on the Microsoft Servers.

Follow the rest of the tutorial. Your current install will be moved into a C:\Windows.old directory structure where you can get to it after this install completes.

I come back after 3 days to say that reinstalling Windows 10 with an ISO file has perfectly fixed everything and my computer is completely back to normal! Thank you everyone who helped me out :) All I have to do now is back everything up more carefully after this scare and try to work out what happened to cause such damage to my system and try not to repeat it in the future.
Thank you again I seriously wouldn't have been able to fix it without you guys.

    - - - Updated - - -

haha, unfortunately looks like I acted too fast when saying my computer was completely fixed. While most errors are fixed it appears that a few have persisted.

Microsoft Store leads to a Code: 0x80131500
Trying to run a troubleshoot of it per other tutorials instructions or start indexing options leads to this error.
    Attachment 242201
resetting the app and deleting its cache also leads to no change. It's also leading other apps like games or x-box companion to being unable to connect or be used. Mail is also unable to open links.

And the search box in windows tab bar is constantly crashing and is unable to be used for any amount of time, simply turning blank (though resetting windows explorer seems like a temporary fix)
    Attachment 242200

I thought about starting a new discussion but these faults have remained from when the first problems started here, so thought to keep this in the same place though I'll start a new discussion if that's better.

    DPC Watchdog

I did the SFC and DISM and still have this which I don't know what it is? Maybe you can tell me. Keep getting the DPC crash window.

@EddieB1106, please start your own thread with your problem as it has nothing to do with Axolotl's problem.
@Axolotl, what version of Windows 10 did you install? 1803, 1809 or 1903?

Run the attached batch file up to 3 times until you get a clean run of all 3 commands (two DISM and one SFC):

    DISMandSFC.bat

Running it leads to a complete run of the two DISM's but after the SFC is complete the tab is closed, so I can't further see if it was successful but it reaches 100% so I assume this is how it's supposed to run?

Add a pause as the last line so it won't close until you press Enter. I normally run it from a Command Prompt so always get to see the results. Also forgot to mention it needs to be run as Administrator or from a Elevated Command Prompt.

Okay added a pause and the two DISM's run completely and properly and the SFC doesn't find any integrity violations so it's all good on that end
