What happened with the Aoemi backup plans?

How come you switched to troubleshooting?

Please post the images in post #3.

    zBook:

My AOMEI backup is my last resort since it will restore (hopefully) me back to 6 months ago. So before I commit to that I would obviously prefer to overcome my INACCESSIBLE BOOT DEVICE problem. Based on reader reviews, I was hopeful to try this method of solving my issue but unfortunately my REGBACK directory was empty.

I'm unclear how to respond to your request of what to post from post#3, since they were your images?!?
    Please clarify.

    Thanks,
    Dan

    Steps 8 - 12 were for troubleshooting.

Regback was in post # 17.

    Reader reviews?

It appeared that you were not interested in troubleshooting.
Then troubleshooting steps were performed on your own?

I am very interested in troubleshooting which is why I asked why my DISM command failed in post #20.
Is there any further documentation I can provide to you since when I did a HELP on DISM I did not see some of the parameters you suggested so I need to know exactly what to type to delete my latest package name.

    Thanks,
    Dan

How come the images of the commands and results were not yet posted for these steps:

    Code:
    8) Open the Windows advanced troubleshooting menu on the iso

    9) click command prompt > this should open a black box with title bar: Administrator: X:\Windows\System32\cmd.exe and prompt: X:\Sources>

    10) Type these commands. (Comments are in parenthesis).

    11) bcedit /enum
    12) bcdedit | find "osdevice"
    (note the partition drive letter)

    Forgive this very basic question:
How can I capture the DISKPART output on my disabled PC?
i.e., how do I get it over to my working PC so that I can post it here?

Open windows RE using a bootble windows 10 iso.

    Run commands and view results.

Use a camera or smart phone camera to take pictures and post images into this thread.

See similar comments made earlier in the thread in post #3.

Troubleshooting steps can be time consuming.
They may or may not work.
They are all trial and error.

A restoration of a backup image should be faster.
A reset save files equivalent or clean install are likely to be faster.

It occurred to me that I may be able to do it through DOS by redirecting the output to a txt file, so I'll play with that and get back to you.
    Thanks!

Unfortunately DISKPART doesn't like redirection so I wasn't able to send the output to a file.

So if you can't see what's wrong with my DISM remove package command I'll just think about my alternatives for another day and most likely use use my old AOMEI backup tomorrow.

There was no camera or smartphone camera?

You can try saving commands and results to notepad.
The save to a flash drive.
Then move the flash drive from the problematic to the working computer.
