How to cure 'kdbsyn.exe' showing up at start of windows

I recently upgraded to Windows 10 from Windows 7 (64bit) and everything went OK accept for a window showing up each time the desktop appears.

When I was using Win 7 I updated my display cards (AMD Radeon HD) on a regular basis, but when I updated to 10 this annoying 'Alert' comes up every time the desktop appears for the first time after boot.

    C:\Program Files (x86)\AMD AVT\bin\kdbsync.exe

I've looked in C:\Program Files for this but can't find it. I don't know how to fix this problem, so I came here.

I'd be grateful if some one can help me solve this annoying problem.

    Thanks a lot.

I believe that this is a remnant of a device/program trying to start, but the driver itself is missing.
Can you verify that you checked for C:\Program Files (x86)\AMD AVT\bin\kdbsync.exe
and not just in C:\Program Files?

Start by uninstalling all of the AMD stuff, then use the AMD cleanup utility: https://www.amd.com/en/support/kb/faq/gpu-601
Then download/install the latest W10 compatible AMD drivers/programs for your system

If that doesn't work - then we'll try...........

Can you take a screenshot of the window that pops up and post it here?

I would also try running Microsoft's Autoruns tool, then search for kdbsync and disable those entries.
If that doesn't fix this, then we may have to resort to editing the registry.
    Are you comfortable with that?

No, I checked Program Files (x86) first and when I couldn't find it there I looked in Program Files, but still no luck.I tried to uninstall all AMD but each time I try a little window pops up saying 'the AMD install manager has stopped working and closes the uninstall window not letting me uninstall any of the AMD instalations. What am I going to do.By the way, thanks for answering my post.

Run the AMD cleanup tool that I linked to, then follow the rest of the suggestions there.
