Anyone know what this is?

See that on my Mom's Older AMD A6-3620 With Radeon 6530D APU system, Just using Drivers from Windows Update, as believe newer drivers for Windows 10 Don't support the Radeon 6530D APU.
Seems to be working fine, i just click skip when it comes up, and ignore it
Til i have funds saved up to replace her system, not really worth upgrading that old HP P6 2133W Desktop i suppose
Probably stick with an AMD based system i think, Other 2 Household systems are Intels, but might switch to AMD in a few years again if I decide I want a major upgrade again
Only Supported Moms APU with Radeon 6530D up to 8.1
Works ok with Windows Update provided driver though

Video drivers don't need to be updated. If it works I don't mess with it. It's not worth the risk. It's not worth ANY risk.

Not much if any risk, there's always DDU to help and system restore (if and when it works). Apart from security I keep them always updated. They have just as many fixes as windows.

It’s good to see your system specs are entered.
--- Graphics Card(s): Intel UHD Graphics 620 (Dell)
On your situation, we need to know more please as we can’t see your computer.
--- According to post #4, your goal is “I want the driver but not the baggage that came with it ROFL”
--- Good goal.
--- How does the AMD Catalyst Software Suite Current version 15.20.1060-150715a-186787 … come into play on your laptop?
How is that message appearing? Is it a random popup? Are you trying to update your driver?
--- Do you have a 3rd party utility program or maybe just a 3rd party driver utility program?
In post #1,” you would think AMD would have something more official looking than this???”
--- That sounds good if you are going to AMD, to determine what you want to do.
--- What was the original purpose for doing so?
--- Are you having video problems?
Post #1 “With all the viruses and malware going around, you would think AMD would have something more official looking than this???”
--- I believe that to be true but AMD might not be the root cause of what you are seeing: I haven’t seen that message as well as others haven't either.
--- Maybe it shows up that way because Firefox is in use?
--- Do you know if the laptop is free of “viruses and malware”
Are you able to call up the AMD Catalyst Control Center mentioned in post #10?

Always Keep things updated here as well, patch up as much as i can whether it's video drivers, or something else, usually never skip updates, except do on Mom's AMD in relation to those video drivers as installing them, not sure would be good or bad thing lol

Actually, I have three computers at the house but this is one of the HP computers at the church. We have three there also. My question was just about the popup so I didn't think system specs were necessary.

I guess I'm saying I want the driver to the machine functions properly but I don't need a software suite, that's bloatware in my book.

Just popups up from time to time, usually on first log in. This is a HP system so whatever apps HP put on it.

Just logging on to use the machine, we use it for office work. No problems that I'm aware of.

That's my exact point, that way it looks, who would feel comfortable clicking the link (if it is AMD)? If it's not AMD, anyone recognize it as malware or a virus? That was the point of the post.

Nope, it appears I uninstalled it since the start menu folder is empty but we still get that popup so I was wondering how to stop them. What I don't need is someone at the church doing is all a favor.

Check Control Panel / Program and Features, just because it doesn't show in the start menu
doesn't mean its not installed. Deleting a shortcut doesn't delete the program.
If you choose skip it shouldn't reappear till the next update (1 to 3 months)

If you suspect virus or malware, why don’t you run your virus protection program?
Then download Malwarebytes Free to check for malware.
--- You’ll get their Premium version for a 14-day free trial.
AMD does have something more official than this
--- It’s the AMD Catalyst Software Suite & AMD Catalyst Control Center.
Post #16 “I guess I'm saying I want the driver to the machine functions properly but I don't need a software suite, that's bloatware in my book.”
--- I suspect what you are seeing is a result of trying to manipulate what you deem to be bloatware and also being uninstalled continues with that notification as opposed as an out-of-the-blue pop-up that there is a driver update available since it can’t do that via the AMD Catalyst Control Center.
--- Naturally I could be wrong but we can’t see your computer.
Go to https://www.amd.com/en/support/kb/faq/gpu-131 and let their AMD Driver Auto Detect tool run and follow through on what is reported.
If you have a Legacy non-GCN (Graphics Core Next) it might let you know
AMD ends driver support for non-GCN (Graphics Core Next) Radeon cards
AMD ends driver support for non-GCN Radeon cards - The Tech Report
--- If it turns out that way, the recommended update in your notification most likely will not upgrade for Windows 10.
--- There are a couple of ways in which a non-GCN driver can be attempted to upgrade for Windows 10 but none of them have been successful for me yet.
--- That’s why I had recommended in my post #10 “Go to your AMD Catalyst Control Center & uncheck AMD Catalyst Software Suite” since that has worked for the people I have helped in their situations.
On “the start menu folder is empty” in post #16

Forum 3087 Reset Start Layout in Windows 10
Reset Start Layout in Windows 10
I suspect the computer could use some checks
HP has a pre-boot System Diagnostics feature you can use and I’ve done that many times
ESC upon Boot-Up
F1 System Information
F2 System Diagnostics
--- F1 System Information: Please let us know what it reports.
--- F2 Start-up Test.
--- F3 Run-In Test
--- F4 Hard Disk Test: 1 hr. 15 minutes
--- ESC Exit
F7 HP SpareKey
F9 Boot Device Options
F10 BIOS Setup
F12 Network Boot
After that I then use their HP Support Assistance but prefer the pre-boot diagnostics first

… More to be said about that later if we reach this point.
