System Reserved (E:) showing almost full despite empty folders,

    Yes.
    For security, also select File name extensions
    Now, with Explorer. open the disk E:
    What files do you see?

    Done.
    After removal of the (E:) as per @Word Man post, no drive (E:) anywhere.
