Yeah, I kind of figured it out. But I need to know if this change happened because of the update, or because something went wrong on the PC at that time. I mean I started my computer early and the toolbar (or taskbar?) blinked for a brief second and two of my usual icons didn't appear under the arrow (they worked normally regardless of missing icons), and all of the sudden One Drive came out of the arrow and made itself comfortable between the audio and ethernet icons. I restarted the PC due to panic and this seems to be its position for some reason on my desktop, with the slider turned to "On". Again, I didn't touch anything, and I can only assume it was previously "off". I can't find anything useful in the event viewer other than a ton of ESENT errors and a few taskhostw.exe errors, or at least I don't know exactly where to look.

It's not uncommon for some settings to get reset by an update.

Reset implies a default state which One Drive will be shown all the time and out of hiding. I can assure you that default before was not on. It should be fairly easy for users to see this then and confirm to me if it's indeed on now. Does yours show the same as mine after the update? I am going to test a few other PCs soon-ish so I'll see then if this is normal or not.

After a complete format, this is normal.
