    Error: Event 1020, Perflib, Win 10, 1903

I have been getting this error every day since I updated to Win10 1903.
The text of the error is:
"The required buffer size is greater than the buffer size passed to the Collect function of the "C:\Windows\System32\perfts.dll" Extensible Counter DLL for the "LSM" service. The given buffer size was 8056 and the required size was 33040."

I have combed the internet and can find no reference to this error. Can anyone help?

    Thanks for the pointer Lance1,

Ran Lodctr /R from an Administrator CMD prompt but got:

    C:\Windows\system32>Lodctr /R
Error: Unable to rebuild performance counter setting from system backup store, error code is 2.

Bit of research later found out I had to run it form:

    C:\Windows\SysWOW64

Than ran Lodctr /R and got:

Info: Successfully rebuilt performance counter setting from system backup store.

Note that Lodctr /R is case sensitive!

Will report back if it fixes the event message

Kind regards and thanks again for the pointer!

I ran Lodctr /R successfully. However it generated 2 new errors in the Error Log.

    Event 1017, Perflib.
Disabled performance counter data collection from the "ASP.NET_2.0.50727" service because the performance counter library for that service has generated one or more errors. The errors that forced this action have been written to the application event log. Correct the errors before enabling the performance counters for this service.

    Event 1021, Perflib.
Windows cannot open the 32-bit extensible counter DLL "C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\aspnet_perf.dll" in a 64-bit environment (Win32 error code C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\aspnet_perf.dll is not a valid Win32 application.). Contact the file vendor to obtain a 64-bit version. Alternatively, you can open the 32-bit extensible counter DLL by using the 32-bit version of Performance Monitor. To use this tool, open the Windows folder, open the Syswow64 folder, and then start Perfmon.exe.

I have not attempted to correct these errors - if it is possible. Just wanted to make the errors known.

In Windows 10, if you are a home or single user and not part of a Domain, go to Windows Security > Firewall & Network Protection and turn off the Domain firewall. Windows will keep reminding you to turn the Domain firewall back on, but you can just ignore it. Also, if you do not share your files and printer, go to Control Panel > Network and Sharing Center > Change advanced sharing settings > File and printer sharing, and turn off file and printer sharing. Worked for me.

The first time I ran C:\Windows\system32>Lodctr /R I got Error: Unable to rebuild performance counter setting from system backup store, error code is 2. I ran it again right after that and got Successfully rebuilt performance counter setting from system backup store.
Since then I've only gotten 1 Perflib 1020 error (so far). I'm not going to worry about it as it isn't causing me any problems for the things that I do with my pc. Good luck with this issue.

I've rebuilt the counters using Lodctr /R from both C:\Windows\system32 & C:\Windows\SysWOW64. It stops the error message for awhile, but I did this on 10/6/19 & had to do it again today (10/16/19).
Then I get these errors, although not critical:

Does anyone know how to get a permanent fix?
