Ditto. I use Everything for searching, so I also have Indexing off on all drives, including my SSD. I don't notice any difference in performance but it makes me feel better

Is it OK to disable Indexing and Prefetch?
    Any other useful tips?
I have mine disabled. SSD's do not need defragmented, and I also delete the Prefetch Folder contents once or a twice a week. You aren't doing any harm.

Could you expand on that and explain what you do. If you disable the defrag tool, it's not needed as it's intelligent enough to know when there's an SSD to use Trim instead of defragging.

All it does is to send force Trim command to SSD every now and than. Most of the work is done in modern SSDs anyway. All they need is power and some quiet time to do it's work. It takes only few seconds at a time so it's completely transparent to user.

If you disable Disk defragmenter then Windows will not do any automatic trimming at all.

    Unless you do it manually.

    No, don't disable prefetch.
If you're worrying about "wasted CPU cycles" ... it might be more prudent to think about "wasted human cycles", because that's what you're doing by disabling these things.

If you are referring to this, he said delete the contents, not disable it.

Yes, you're right. I should have said deleting (don't) instead of disabling.
