    Hi,
The Only security add on in 1903 is more push for users to use a MS account and not local accounts.
I didn't receive any type of push to use a MS account, which I do not have, when my os updated to v.1903 and I've found no reference to this in any info about what is contained in the update. Am I missing something?

    Hi,
Then you didn't look at the new windows defender options
I was prompted to look at them and I dismissed the prompt to use a ms account for better security

So I guess we had different updating experiences who would of thunk it possible but then again I'm using a local user account

I didn't get a prompt to look at new Windows Defender options. I did just now look at them since you mentioned it and I see that "suggestion" but since I don't use a MS Account I will forego that option and stick with the security I have cause I fully believe I am very safe. Thanks for the info!

Here's what Reliability Monitor says about this machine going back to May 31, the day I forcibly upgraded from 1809 to 1903 on this machine,

Diverting for a second, LOL I can only dream about getting a history that clean. I get two issues on a consistent basis - corsair.service stopped working and Microsoft Edge Content Process stopped working. And when I say consistent, I mean across various upgrade builds (1803, 1809, 1903 for example). Anyway it doesn't affect the performance of the PC so...

As for the OP's question, I'll always opt for the latest build unless there are massive issues present. But those would have to be the kind of issues that forces Microsoft to pull the update. That said, I didn't have the deleted files issue so many had with 1809. In fact, I had no issues there, nor do I have any on 1903.

    My two cents.

Q: "Will it eventually force 1903 upon me even without my clicking?"
    A: ThrashZone: "Nope."

    That's a relief.

I must mention that if we use email accounts for personal use, we must bear in mind that when using windows, providing the account for personal use will be safer. My comment.
