As a Still-Working Computer Tech, I have to know how to install, tweak and service all of the currently used OS's, so I have XP, 7, 8 and 8.1 on separate HD's on my main PC.
Because of some older programs that I still rely on every day, I use XP as my everyday OS.
But my next favorite OS would have to be 8.1, for its speed and versatility. The Classic Shell does make it look and act a lot like XP. And being able to re-enable Windows Mail, on the 64 bit version, makes getting my email very much like Outlook Express.
On the 32 bit ver., Thunderbird works Great.
My customers who have just bought a new PC and find themselves looking at a Metro screen, like the retro look, provided by Classic Shell.
Old folks don't like too many changes.
Cheers Mates!
