1) I thought from the picture I see here:
Back up your Documents, Pictures, and Desktop folders with OneDrive - Office Support
the folders being synched can he highlighted in gray--and get green check in them -at upper right- with option to stop synching..as I can now do with that "Pictures" folder? Online, it does actually seem like all my files are there..But I guess I'll have to monitor it to make sure it continues synching them
2) My One Note Notebook is in fact accessible at One Drive online and appears synched. So I dont bother with that General.one folder. Unless you think that might be creating some issues.
3) I am still concerned with the "rapturing" of my Desktop up into the OneDrive cloud yesterday. Took a long time to re-populate it down here...
I hope that all the synching merely uploads a copy to OneDrive and does not replace it with a cloud-based file/folder. Is there way I can set things to be sure of that..So far it's only happened to my desktop. I deleted the Desktop folder in the OneDrive directory and unticked desktop in the Settings to stop all that.
