    Hi,
    About as close as it gets is always use desktop mode and never switch and never ask to switch.

    Well, the acid test is 'does it ever come back'. If it does, then click on the 'Change' button, not 'Turn off now'. The Change button takes you directly to the particular automatic setting that's causing it.

    There's also when you press F11 to toggle full screen mode for an app or window.
    Thanks. Tablet mode is not active though.

    Done. Didn't seem to change the behavior of Focus Assistant.

    So far it is behaving normal after I made the change. I think the issue is with that fullscreen app mode setting. But I don't know why. I will leave this thread as not resolved a bit longer in case I stumble across something, or if there's anyone here with ideas I can try out.

    By the way, if there are someone with a clean 1809 installation I would greatly appreciate it to know if this fullscreen app slider is enabled or disabled as default. I can't remember what I had it set to.

    1903, I think you meant

    I can't remember either, so I'll do a clean install in a VM and let you know...

    Edit: @Faith, these are the default settings after a clean install of 1903.

    Thank you so much <3 (there should totally be a heart emoji here)

    But I meant 1809 That was the latest build without that issue, so knowing if full-screen mode is on or off as default there (because I had everything on default) would be good info to have. That way I can figure out if the issue is exclusive to 1903 or not.

    Oh, that's an easy one, the full screen option is new for 1903. This is a default install of 1809.

    @Bree you're a doll! thank you.

    Probably not relevant, but I don't see the "when Iæm at home" button. But this explains why I didn't see this problem on 1809 then, because it's not there. Now the fun part starts. Finding out what's running in the background that is causing the assistant to freak out. Or maybe it is an exclusive bug by Microsoft.

    Ok, so talking to a few other users it seems to be an issue with the GeForce Experience overlay on Nvidia graphics cards causing this issue. Further investigation is needed though, but I will try to contact Nvidia and see if they know about this in the upcoming week.

    Hello @katlani,

    Usually turning off the automatic rule will sort it.
