Windows 10 Upgrade 1903 64 bit Sleep Wakes Up on Multiple Computers

    At this point, I'm comparing two of the same model computers with powercfg and I also rechecked the power plan to insure that allow wake timers is disabled.

    I notice that there was a timer event that was at the 17minute mark. Didn't have a source, but it sure caused a flareup.

    I copied the configuration of a working computer powercfg to the same model motherboard that was waking up about 16-18 minutes. And WOW the problem disappeared.


    Since I never knew about powercfg, it sure seems to be a lifesaver for this kind of issue.

    Bottom line, I have no idea how this timer became active/installed/created.

    But I"m a happy camper to have it gone. thanks for powercfg lead to solve this.

    So, all updates in Windows are now installed with all newest OS upgrades. And I shall call this thread solved


    thanks for the contributions, I learned more than I ever wanted to know about timers.
