DSF files do not display tag info in File Explorer column view

This is how I like to view files within folders in my music library using Windows 10:

Most of my music files are in AIF, AIFF or MP3 format and so the above screenshot is what I see when opening a folder. But with my files in DSF format, the columns are empty when I open the folder:

Can I tweak a setting in my Windows settings so that the ID tags I have entered for my DSF files will be displayed in the File Explorer window?

Right click on a file in the directory and choose properties, move over to the details tab.
You can modify some of the entries by clicking on the space beside the entry you want to modify.
right click on the folder in the right pane choose properties and go to the customize tab.

Are those properties available for .DSF files? Can you post a screenshot of the Properties dialog (Details tab) for one of those files?

That's the thing, Keith, right clicking Properties reveals that Windows has no details on any .dsf file...

What music program is the default for the files?
You may have to customize the folder first in order to get the details you need.

Apparently Windows explorer isn't recognizing dsf files as music files.

    These might help

It's quite likely that the .dsf format doesn't support additional info. How are you obtaining/creating these files.

DSF files are sold as downloads on Hi-Res music sites and so some of them I purchased there; others I ripped from SACD discs in my collections. I am surprised Windows cannot read metadata since these files are not uncommon, although mostly used by audiophile listeners. I have JRiver Media Center set as the default player for dsf files and I edit the tags in Tag&Rename. So the ID tags are visible in both those programs. Just not in a Windows explorer folder.

Windows is not quite up to date with the newer streaming music formats ,
they are pretty much stuck in mp3 mode.
Have you tried one of the explorer alternatives?
