The Registry Editor was never listed in Administrative Tools in the Start menu in the earlier versions of Windows 10 and previous versions of Windows. It is only in the recent couple of Windows 10 updates that it was included there. I guess I only have my itchy hands to blame for manually adding it before the updates came my way and therefore breaking it.

No worries, Guys. Thank you very much All for your inputs and suggestions. I appreciate it.

Have a good day wherever you are,

Actually, no. I tried to unpin it from Start and restarted Explorer, but regedit did not appear in the All Apps list under Administrative Tools. Anyway, it is a small matter and I do not want Everybody to lose sleep over it so I'm gonna mark this as solved to close it off ok?

Once again, thank you Everybody for your inputs and suggestions.

    Regards,

If wanted, you could check all shortcuts in your All Apps list using the tutorial below to see if you may have Registry Editor added anywhere else, and remove it if you do.

    Hi Brink,

I just tried moving the regedit shortcut from the User Account Administrative Tools to the All Accounts Administrative Tools and restarted my laptop, but it didn't change anything. Registry Editor is still not showing in the Start menu All Apps list. It's ok, I have the shortcut as a tile in Start now, so I'll just go about it that way moving forward.

    Thank you,
    Andrew

After you raised this issue I checked (and fixed) all my machines. I had that problem on one of my machines. Tracked it down to a second link for Regedit in my personal start menu which, when deleted, fixed that machine too.

    Look in your %appdata%\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs

    Hi Bree,

OK, I'll give that a go when I get home tonight. I'm at work at the moment. Will update here after.

    Thank you.
