Maybe this whole thread needs it's own spot in News or Chillout Room. It's a 5 day old, 50 post thread of general discussion and likes/dislikes. Maybe it needs to be moved out of the Support area.

Tried 3 (!) times to upgrade from 1809 to 1903 , with the Upgrade Assistent ( 2) and with a boot-DVD from the Media Creation Tool.
After the upgrade ; 1. VSS ID=8193 and ID=13 in the eventlog ( NO WAY to get rid of it !)
    2. When changing page on this site , I got black screen one/two seconds , got rid of it by changing the back-ground from " Flanders " to "Default " ................( how can ????)
    3. Did not discover any improvements , compared with 1809 .
These problems made me decide to roll back to 1809 again , which , imo, is a very good OS...........!
I think its better to wait , until its offered by WU .........( ?)
    Hi,
That rarely means anything but ms is looking for more feedback in updating failures/.....
Doesn't mean bugs aren't already there and still not fixed.

    FYI -

On five systems, 1903 installed via WU without a hitch.
Actually, I'm very pleased with the installs.

    Now to see what happens...

    Hi,
As long as successful installing is your only gauge of success then you'll be happy

    I've done it now 5 times 3 on x99 and 2 on x299
    Both installed all times
All four started with more update options than finished with
Seeing this was an area that was supposed to add new options I find missing some basic options as fail.

Only successful one so far was not saving anything which in most cases is not an option seeing others my have items or so many they don't want to start over with 1903 nor should it be necessary.
Updating build to build should be seamless and all intended so called Improvements should exist afterwards otherwise it's only half baked success.

I wish this were true ...

It's enough to delay it for a month in that case, that should be more than enough to iron it out and if not, they never will. Every build has an expiry date and then what when it runs out ?
But it's not. That's why we got the repaired Sep 2018 (1809 version) in Apr 2019 ... 7 months later.

In any case, my earlier point was that the updates offer me NOTHING of value. I don't need new features.
They should instead throw us the security patches ... and NOTHING ELSE.
I won't need a new OS until my next computer purchase, sometime in 2022.

Personal right for a personal decision of course but I think it's wrong to withhold updates. There's a lot of generally useful stuff beside just security updates whether you need/want them now. Luckily you can just ignore them. I bet there many people that want even less of features than you do.

No problems here at all, apart from on pro where the defer options seem to go missing.

As long as we still encountering ; VSS ID=8193 and ID=13 in the eventlogs , you can not call this a stable version !!
These errors come back after every reboot , will stay on 1809 untill 1903 will be offered by WU......
