    W10 deleted my empty folders?

I had some folders with music and media in general. Some of them where empty, just to remind me what I had to download later. Today I wake up, turn on my computer and notice they are not there anymore. WTF MICROSOFT?

Can someone relate to that? How can I solve it? I'm trying to find a good software but it's hard to find one to recover directories.

    Hi

Are you running any kind of cleaners and or Windows Storage Sense? Storage Sense is under Start > Settings > System > Storage

When you say windows deleted did you just do a feature upgrade to 1903? If you just did a Feature upgrade take a look at the root of C: for a folder called Windows.old. Double click, then double click on Users ....... etc.

If you are on same version have you looked in Recycle bin.

We had a similar issue on one of our network drives: a couple of times a week, all empty folders in the entire folder structure were deleted.
In our case it turned out to be the setting for the location of the AutoRecover folder in MS Word.
(File > Options > Advanced > Save, section "Save documents", setting "AutoRecover file location")

One user changed this location to be the network drive.
Apparently, Word performs some tidy up operations on this folder, including the deletion of empty subfolders.

That was the answer to our problem, thank you!
