When you select all files on C: and look at the Properties, File Explorer can only count the files and folder for which the user account you are signed in with has permissions to see. You'll get different results signed a standard user vs. an administrator:
Even as an administrator there are some files/folder you do not have permission to see (so they don't get counted). For an accurate count you can run TreeSizeFree as an administrator.
Thanks, I didn't think of that. The difference is indeed made up by the second testing account.
I built it as a spare , transfered all files in case this profile got corrupted.
I don't know about you, but I hate unsolved mysteries. Glad I could shed some light on yours.
