Change format of Finder dates column to include day of the week

The (or my) Finder lists the dates of files as 25/05/2019 17:34 I would like to add the day of the week. For example:

Sat/25/05/2019 or

Sat/25/05/19

How can I do this please?

Its this type of window which lists files in a folder, drive etc.


Its formal name is "The Finder", isn't it. I think.? "The place to find items". (Or is that the Apple name? If so, what is the correct Windows 10 name for this type of window?

Yes. I have just looked it up and "Windows Explorer" is the same as Apple's Finder Window".

But how can I change the dates format?

I don't think there's any way to set File Explorer to use "Long date" when it's programmed to use "Short date".

"Windows Explorer" is actually the old name since Windows 8 or so they call it "File Explorer"

Change the format of 'Short Date' in Region Settings...
