Menu has changed after 1903 Update

    Greetings,

I installed the 1903 Update and now I noticed two entries at the bottom of my start menu. See screen shot for clarity of this.

Any suggestions to remove or why they are showing up there?

    Thank you,

Power off and restart to see if the menu populates correctly

Mine has 'ms-resource:AppName/Text'. Tried the above batch, but did not work. Any other suggestions?
I do know that if you right click on it and then select more, there is a setting that takes you directly to app settings.

Sometimes, MS puts those there as "Place Holders" for yet unreleased apps and such. Not saying that's the case here, but it has happened in the past.

It's nothing new, on one machine I already had two of those in 1809. that increased to three with the upgrade to 1903.

Try clicking on each one (left click, not right). I'm back down to two now, one of mine got the 'installing' bar beneath its name, becoming a properly installed and named app when I did that.

That would be terrible. I use Linux most of the time, but maintain the Windows OS on a separate computer, just to be informed.

+ Windowsfree, Bree, concerning the fact that u have two+ of these broken shortcuts/apps shown at the bottom of Start menu, according with my solution u can create shortcuts on Desktop for both of them and look which packages/apps causing these broken shortcuts to appear then as described in my post with combined instructions remove those packages. I wonder which packages are that for you, for me it was ContactSupport. Just remember to be careful with triggers while editing IsInbox for broken packages, don't forget to recreate them from back up before writing changes to database. Only packages with IsInbox 0 can be removed and won't appear in Start menu after it's cache rebuilt. Actually in my view with this IsInbox 0 method u can remove any Windows package/app, even those which u can't simply uninstall through right click menu like Your Phone or else coz Microsoft doesn't want u to.
