Settings Panel Opens Maximized

Update, I just checked my Insider Win 10 and the Settings panel opens "normal" not maximized. I have a dual boot system (on separate SSD's) so same hardware on both.

firebird, what version of windows 10 are you running? I know that this doesn't help you, but I'm on version 1903 running the same resolution that you are and not experiencing that problem. In my case, I'm running Nvidia graphics, however.

But if you let me know what version of Win 10 you are on it might help me to try researching this more effectively.

I am on 1903 but its happened on earlier version. Version is not an issue. As noted I also dual-boot with the Insider versions and its not happening on the Insider versions.

This "problem" still exists. Settings opens maximized to full screen with 2560X1440 screen resolution on Win 10 Pro. With same hardware and screen resolution it does not do that on the Windows Insider version. I recently installed the KB4501375 that fixed a lot of items in 1903 but the full screen still exists. It was there with 1809 version too. If I change screen resolution to a lower resolution then the settings panel is back to "normal" size. But since the Insider version on my dual boot system doesn't do it, its back to a bug in my Win 10 Pro "production" installation.

I suspect its a Registry setting but I don't know where in the registry or what the setting should be.

I just want to make sure that I'm looking for a solution to the right thing. The screen that you are talking about really is the "settings" screen and NOT the Start screen, correct? In other words, the problem is with this screen:

Yes, that is the correct screen. It opens to full screen in my Win 10 Pro. But I dual boot with the Insider version and its not happening in the insider version with the same 2560X1440 screen resolution.

Something got messed up when I installed an RX580 video card and switched from the Intel CPU video to the new video card and the new 2560X1440 screen resolution. If I go back to the Intel CPU video (1920X1080) or reduce the RX580 resolution to 1920X1080 the panel goes back to "normal" size.

That doesn't work. I've tried that. It will only resize it until its rebooted.
I wish it was that easy - that was the first thing I tried.
