Pc boot up increased to 2 min 53 sec after May update...

Installation of May update went ok with no problems...however pc boot up time went from 43 seconds to 2 minutes 53 seconds now...what is causing this.I have only 4 start up programs in taskbar apart from standard items ie clock, internet security, network connection etc.

I use Glarys Utilities and noticed at 153 background services are enabled ..majority are Windows services...can some of be disabled...but which ones ?...are all needed for Windows operating system ?

Searched the internet but could not find a suitable answers...or a program that can disable ones that are not needed but keep essential ones.

I have Windows.old folder..are there duplicate services still being used there ?

Hi, at a guess, could be a driver issue. You will know you get a new set of drivers. Recommend you don't start with services.

    Analysis is possible, but technical..

Note: your specs show 8.1 Pro..

Note further your laptop does not seem to appear in the list tested for 1809:
    Access Denied

    HP says: (as you'd expect):
HP PCs manufactured before August of 2013 (if that's true of yours..) might not have a complete set of hardware and/or drivers required to use all of the features in Windows 10.
If you choose to use Windows 10 some features, applications, and connected devices might not work as expected.
