What is this large folder?
I noticed this folder contains c. 6GB of files - C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Containers\BaseImages
What's the purpose of that folder?

The large folder in question doesn't appear there for me nor can I find anything by Googling.

It was a shot that's was it was. Obviously not. Still, I don't have that folder or files, as posted. What do some of the files in it look like? The names?
I'e copied the folder tree below. I experimented with Defender Application Guard recently then removed it. Is the large folder a hangover from that?

You have a build that has Sandbox enabled? My Google on the path got this as the first hit:
https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/.../301849/page/3
I am not sure, but there may be a difference between installer baseline cache vs installer baseline images. The former may be related to installation patches of some kind and the latter may be related to the upcoming Sandbox (and Containers) feature ? If you haven't yet tested the Sandbox feature on an insider build then I am completely mistaken.
some info on baseline cache:

baseline images:

(Treat with caution, I might be completely wrong).
It's Sandbox. Look at the tree structure of his files he posted.
Steve.... if you go into Programs and Features and uncheck that Sandbox, reboot, it'll probably go away.
