Cannot Preview Encrypted Files in File Explorer

    I think it's an enhanced security thing in Windows 10, not sure if there's a way around it!

    You may have to rely on a 3rd party utility.

    This is QTTabBar Explorer Enhancement utility at work, which previews many types of files on mouse hover, (encrypted or not!)...

    Thank you for the information, Edwin. I have been experimenting with XYplorer, which so far seems to do exactly what I need it to do and then some. Besides being able to preview my encrypted files, the biggest benefit to this new program is that the preview pane stays a consistent size. This is something that was a pain in Vista but seems to be an even bigger nuisance in Windows 10. Every time I open File Explorer, the preview pane is a different size, and few things irk me more than inconsistency!
