WIN10 will not keep no sleep (HD & Display) setting

    Hi all-

The power setting in my WIN10 system will not keep 'no sleep' on both the HD and display regardless of overall setting, ie., Balanced/High Performance etc. It always reverts back to some stock config that I'm trying to remove. I download large bgls for my flight simulator over a not so fast connection and going to sleep after 2 hours (of essentially 3.5 hr dload) totally borks everything.

Any ideas power manager folk out there?

    Thanks,
    Mark

Mark, is it possible that you have a third party power management utility installed that is overriding the default Windows settings. I had a laptop, can't recall if it was an HP or a Dell, that had its own power management software that would modify the windows settings.

Gateway/Acer has one too. I uninstalled it.While easier to get at, Windows 10's version is superior.

It was the Asus overclock utility. It was located in a not very obvious tab. Set those to never/never and that seems to have done it.

    Thanks!
