You should get the upgrade but if you want you can upgrade to version 1809 using Windows 10 Media Creation Tool.
Hi there
@Raval
Or just use the UUPDUMP method to download and create relevant iso for your language and windows build. You don't need to join any insider rings to get the 19H1 and 20H1 releases -- bear in mind though if you use these as HOST releases (i.e not running as a Virtual Machine) you will get a failure if you use VMWare to run any virtual machines with these releases as a HOST.

Yes. Windows update is quite capable of skipping versions and updating you straight to the latest. I recently did a successful manual upgrade straight from the original 2015 version (1507) to 1809.
I wouldn't worry about not getting the update to 1809, you have that in common with nearly two thirds of the world's PCs that are still on 1803. See...
AdDuplex Windows Device Statistics reports - April 2019
1903 is expected to be released to the public at the end of May. Some time after that you should see the 'Features Update to Windows 10, version 1903' appear in windows update, or you could use the Media Creation Tool to upgrade it yourself.
Hi,
Yeah I read some might get skipped from 1809 and go directly up to 1903 so I wouldn't worry about it or force 1809 install.
Wow, that's really interesting to see. According to analyzing that area/line graph at the bottom of the page, the latest update (1809) is the most slowly distributed update to Windows computers in comparison to all the previous updates, AND only 29% of all these computers that have been surveyed have that latest update (as of April 2019). What I mean by all that is look at the steepness of the line of the other updates compared to 1803; 1803's line is going up at a slow incline over time, and it's been half a year since it was initially released to Windows computers. Is there a reason why it's being slowly distributed?
I think you meant 1809's line, but yes - it's the slowest roll out ever. 1803's line was the fastest ever.
1809 started fast in the first few days of October, but then hit the 'where have all my files gone?' bug and was withdrawn. I suspect MS have been deliberately slow on the restart, mainly as a PR exercise to show they were being ultra-careful second time round. That would also be, I suspect, why the April 2019 Update (1903) has been sent to spend a whole extra month into the Release Preview Ring and is now officially named the May 2019 Update.
OMG yes. I'm so sorry, yes I meant 1809! Not 1803!!
Aha, I see. I never experienced that "where have all my files gone" bug. But yes, of course, after such bug that, I'm guessing, affected many people, Microsoft definitely gotta be really careful for the next update (1903).
Cool. Thanks for letting me understand why this new update is taking a while. And thanks for correcting my typo. That was probably one of the biggest typos I've ever had, ever! Hahaha 1803 was the fastest update to be distributed to Windows computers, not the slowest!!
My typo made a complete opposite contradiction. lol, good for it! It tried trolling me and you; Both.
