Laptop battery not charging more than 60%

    Laptop battery not charging more than 60%


    Laptop Asus X507 UA; all updates to OS are allowed automatically.

    I rightly or wrongly opted for 'best battery life' in the battery settings. It charges battery to 60%. There are a lot of power cuts where I live and I cannot work for longer period as I have to conserve battery for emergency use as and when it reaches 20%.

    I am just unable to go back to 100% charge, though I have checked all items under 'settings- battery'.

    Can anyone help me come out of this self created morass?

    Do you have Fast charge enabled? try turning it off and charging It will probably take an hour or so but it
    may work. Fast Charging is suppose to be used when the battery is low just to get you back up and running.

    I seem to recall Asus uses a software program for special power controls. The settings might be your Asus folder
    The one that contains the oem programs that came with the computer.
