    Texting on Win 10?

    Guys,
Is there any way to do texting on Win 10 (1803) without involving a cell phone?
My land line is a wireless AT&T line so I'm hoping it could be utilized.
    Thanks,
    Ed

It looks like the AT&T solution only works on their network.
If one wants to send messages across cell phone providers one has to know on which network the respective recipient is. That's not knowable.

You substitute the @ part with the network @ for that user’s cellphone provider.

"You substitute the @ part with the network @ for that user’s cellphone provider"
How am I supposed to know that user's cell phone provider?

I was hoping to find a solution that does not involve my cell phone at all.
    It probably does not exist.

Ask them? (And if you're not prepared to, I don't think you should be texting them.)
