    The system cannot find the file specified


    In my downloads folder uis a file/folder

    I try to delete a file/folder gets message *The system cannot find the file specified.*

    files/folder will not delete

    The system cannot find the file specified-image.png

    Suggestions? Ideas?

    I have seen that before, if trying to delete item in search results.

    Did you try in command prompt?

    List it first, to check if it's still there..

    RD /S /Q "your folder"

    If you have winrar just drag the folder to a compressed zip or rar folder and set the option: Delete source, then you delete the compressed folder also.

    Actually you right click the folder, select "Add to archive", then "Delete Folder after Achriving"

When I try to access a file to upload to a hosting site I get “The file cannot be accessed by the system.” How can I correct this issue? I am currently away from my pc, so I cannot upload any screenshots. Steve

My hosts files disappeared in my C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc. Can some one help me to solve this?
