    System Reserved Partition Seems Excessive

    Hi all,
I just went from a 500GB SSD to a 1TB SSD. I migrated the Drive C from old to new SSD using the Samsung app. I have been puzzled by the relative lack of space on the resulting new SSD. Here are the results of checking with Win 10 Disk Management routine:

Total SSD size: 931.51 GB NTFS
First Partition: 698.32 GB NTFS Drive C:
Second Partition: 482 MB Recovery No drive letter, no information
Third Partition: 232.72 GB NTFS Drive P: System Reserved

Doesn't this third partition for System Reserved seem excessive? How much do I really need with Win 10 Pro? I would like to recover any extra disk space from this partition and add to the first partition. I may have to reformat the entire SSD and do clean reinstall of Win 10 Pro?

    All insights appreciated.

Hi, I don't know why your 3rd partition has a drive letter.

Here's mine for reference (Disk Management view):

And with Minitool Partition Wizard, here you can see all 4 partitions (UEFI):

The system reserved partition should be between 100 and 500 MB in size. I run mine at 100 MB. You goofed up and resized partitions incorrectly when you migrated to the new SSD.

Thank you for your replies. I did not get a chance to set drive size, as the Samsung Migration Tool did that automatically. I will do more research and resize the partition.
