Placing A Shortcut To A Web Page On Desktop ?

    Hello,

I have opened up a simple web page that I would like to save a Shortcut (or other Link to) so I can
get to it very easily directly from my Desktop.

The little icon to the left of the address seems to be a "lock", and I can't drag it anywhere.

See: CubicSDR - The Manual CubicSDR latest documentation

Any other way of doing it ?

    Thanks,
    Bob

    Hello Bob,

If you like, you could use Option 3 in the tutorial below to create a website shortcut on your desktop. It will open the website shortcut using your default browser.

    Bob,

In IE, you drag the icon to the left of the web address [the icon is within the address bar] to the Desktop / a folder to create a shortcut there.

In Firefox, you drag the info icon [the letter i within a circle] to the left of the web address [the icon is within the address bar] to the Desktop / a folder to create a shortcut there.

For Edge, you use the method Brink described.

Just drag and drop that "lock" you described to the desktop.

Highlight the URL address, drag it to the desktop.
