Copy & Paste Keeps Forgetting (Clipboard Problem)

If I am copying and pasting text from one text file to another. Or from anywhere to anywhere, it usually forgets after a single paste, and I have to go and re-copy it again. Or, if I copy something and don't paste it straight away, it will forget before I even get to paste it at all.

I don't know why the clipboard keeps losing its contents. I have read about a lot of people having the issue.
Some have said that clearing the contents will work (cmd.exe /c "echo off | clip"), but not for me.
I have also tried using the "Clear Clipboard" Shortcut posted on this site.

I've done check disks and system file checker, but still the same.

    Any ideas?
    I am using Windows 10 64-bit Version 1809.

I've seen that in Excel, but I believe it uses its own clipboard which behave differently...

    I am using Windows 10 64-bit Version 1809.

Then turn on Clipboard History, a new feature in 1809 (build 17763).

Starting with Windows 10 build 17666, Microsoft is addressing that and taking the clipboard to the next level – simply press Win+V and you’ll be presented with a brand-new clipboard experience.

Hi Bree. Thanks for your reply.
I have turned on Clipboard History.

I have also done a memory diagnostic.
All the tests that I have done come back clear.

Good. Now you can press WinKey+V at any time and scroll through you history to see if anything has gone AWOL. If it does, see if you can work out if it's a particular app that's involved.

Is the keyboard shortcut the only way to bring it up?

It's gone again from the Ctrl + V or Paste menu. Paste menu is grayed out.
Maybe the new Clipboard History implementation is messing with it, although it was happening before I enabled it. But still, there may be something happening in the background.

Yes, as far as I know there is no other way.

The clipboard history is there, but it's not available via Ctrl + V or the Paste context menu. So, while the new Clipboard History setting is working, it is not really a proper fix. A workaround, I guess. But more cumbersome when you're in a hurry.

I have downloaded the old ClipBook Viewer from here and left it open while I did some copy and paste operations, and it disappears from ClipBook Viewer after a short time.

Did you ever figure this out ? I have same problem. I don't know if its a anti keyloger setting or if I have a kyloger hijacking.
