Which based on how the version of "Windows that shall remain nameless (TM)" is selling is and how quickly M$ are now moving to replace it speaks volumes. If you read sites like TechRepublic and ZDNet you will notice how the paid shills have gone away now M$ have finally realized their colossal mistake.Lee, post: 34931, member: 135 said:
Now in Windows 9 I would like to see ISO mounted by default, Aero back in. The quick boot that 8 does. Hypervisor support so you can run old OS easily. Basically Take Windows 7 and give it the under the hood improvements and dispense with the metro stuff on my desktop.
I want it all. I want everything Windows 7 had and everything Windows 8 has, then I want to be able to chose which is enabled and which is disabled ... but then I'm easy to please :)
Well, I'm still running the Windows XP interface in Windows 8 so I guess that shows where I stand. LOL
I've said it a hundred times but the Windows 8 interface is not a PC interface.
The idea of Windows that doesn't have windows is crazy, as I've said over and over.
Using a PC to do work is all about multitasking, something that MS seems to have forgotten.
The reason that you can use Metro on a pad is that they don't have the space or power to do more then one thing at a time anyway.
