Some other program would have to run this like a macro and store the results. Maybe some mini-OS that loads from USB. Maybe they'll be yet another Linux distro designed for it.
If your in a mini OS your already past the BIOS so your not going to be able to take screen shots of it. The BIOS loads first and does the POST. The last thing it does is load the operating system and hand control over to it. To actually take screen shots from the BIOS that function has to be built into the BIOS. IMHO there just isn't enough demand for that feature for the manufacturer to do it.

I understand how an OS loads. If you could get it to work it would be, in effect, a simulation. The BIOS program page display, the screen shots, etc. would all have to be part of the mini-OS somehow manipulating the system via a warm boot while it is still in memory. If possible I don't know. But that would have to be the approach.

OK, sorry if I came across as being a smart ass or something. I'm an electronic technician by trade and also trained in PC repair and operation. Sometimes I just get carried away and go a little overboard. There are emulators out there for some devices. I have one for my D-Link Router and the D-Link Router I gave to my father. It runs in Windows and gives you the exact same menus you'd get if you were in the Routers actual setup menu. It helps when I'm talking to him over the phone and he's trying to change a setting. Being able to click the menus options is so much easier than reading it in the manual. I'd imagine there are ones for a motherboards BIOS, finding them is the hard part.

Not at all. I can be too glib myself. No howdie do, just suggestions right off the bat etc..

Although I tend to think you are probably right. The only easy place to get BIOS screen shots is likely to be from the BIOS developer's machine.

I've seen perfectly good screen shots of the startup & bios.
    They were on technical sites.
    Somebody can do it.
    The manufactures certainly.
    They should spread the knowledge.

I think you guys are dreaming regarding the BIOS. It is not even only the PC manufacturers that make boards, but also s slew of Mobo manufacturers. And they are all different. Just have a look in Newegg how many mobos they sell.

Your best screenshot of the BIOS you can take with a decent camera. And here are some BIOS basics:

    I Googled a bit & found this:

My bios does not have the option included.

Also nice would be an html table report of the settings. Silly in the computer age to be scribbling BIOS settings with a pad and pencil like Jimmy Olson for The Daily Some Other Planet.

This is cool. Thanks for posting this.

These are the new UEFI BIOSs. Quite sophisticated.

    LOL! Often wondered that myself.

I like > "Here's a pen and paper to jot down the info." > "Aaaah, thanks, but I have a cell phone with a note pad on it or I can voice record it." or "Let me jot down my number for you." > I'll hand them my phone with a "new contact" number field open for them to fill out. > "I'll call you and you'll have mine." < With a smile, of course. I get > "Oh, yeah. Right." With a smile out of them, of course.

Don't get me wrong. It took me a few months after I got my first smart phone to finally realize I had that tech in my hands!

White window frames around every window.
Since 10122 I've noticed that they changed the window frames from using accent colours to just using white all the time. Personally I don't like this and I am wondering if there is a way to bring accent colouring back.
