You mean Windows 8 to look and work like Windows 7 right?

Just having fun with you W8 people.
I still have W7 and have no intention of upgrading to 8.

Yeah I'm a faithful Windows 7 user too. Got to muck about with Windows 8 but never took to it...

I have no problem with 8 (I run one in a virtual partition) - although I think that the dual UI is for the birds on the desktop. On the other hand I see no reason to spend any money for 8 because it has nothing attractive worth having. Unless MS comes up with a new release that is really attractive, I will stay with 7 and Mint Mate.

I have asked this question before and didn't get much for answers.
What does Windows 8.xx do better that you can't do with Windows 7?
What does Windows 8.xx do that adds to your computing needs and or desires?

Depends on your definition of better I guess. I'd don't know if it does anything better, just different. The different part seems to be the big debate. Me I like having the Slacker radio App open on my third monitor beside the Weather App. Some days I even fire up the Netflix App. On the desktop side I'll run Outlook on my other screen with IE on my main monitor. The best of both worlds so to speak. I'll be honest though, if I didn't have my TechNet SUB I'd still be running 7 on my desktop PC's. With my budget I couldn't see spending the money to upgrade them from 7 which works just fine on those PC's. My laptop came with 8 so I get the free upgrade to 8.1 anyway. If push came to shove I don't think it wouldn't bother me to back to 7 on those PC's.

Well I got 8 on my Asus Notebook, upgraded to 8.1, I never missed the Start menu and would rather use the OS as is rather than try to make it look and feel like an old OS.

I may be a dinosaur but it doesn't mean I have to act like one I'd rather learn about the new technology when it comes out and not get left behind.

I still use my 7 machine as I haven't transferred everything to 8 yet, if I had I wouldn't still use the 7 machine even though it has a much bigger screen and more comfortable keyboard, that machine is old though as it came with Vista.

I think that's the point - where is the beef.
