    Inaccessible boot device

    So needing some help here..

I recently installed windows 10 on my pc i downloaded iobit driver updater and let it do its thing, i also installed total av antivirus everything was good as gold until i had to restart my pc now im getting the dreaded blue screen of death that says “ inaccesible boot device”.

Long story short ive tried to find a solution on google ive tried loading up command prompt and trying the whole fix of deleting the recently installed packages and a few other things but they didnt seem to work. I Am now currently trying to just reinstall windows 10 my question is how do i know this just wont happen again once it decides to update to the problematic package???

    Try booing into Safe Mode.
From Windows Recovery Environment disable early launch anti-malware protection.
You can also uninstall antivirus driver from Windows Recovery Environment.

Do you have two or more hard disks? This error message usually occurs when trying to boot from the wrong disk. Go in BIOS and change hard disk boot priorities so your Windows 10 device is first on the list. Also you can boot from Windows 10 DVD or USB and repair startup.

Don't use Iobit Driver Updater (or any othe automated driver update tool). If you need drivers, do each one individually under your control.
After Win 10 is installed, do a Windows Update. It will probably find all or most of the drivers. Then look at Device Manager and see if there are any with yellow marks and handle them one at a time.

Automatic driver utilities work most of the times, but I have seen several cases when upgrading the chipset drivers causes a BSOD. So I recommend using them only for installing missing drivers, do not update existing working drivers. Also never use them on a tablet as 99% will affect the touch screen and rotation. To enable them again you will have to install the chipset (platform) driver directly from manufacturer, assuming you can control them with a keyboard and mouse.
