Since Windows 10 I cannot drag to fit the entire edges of the screen!

Hello, I have a big problem ever since upgrading to Windows 10. I tried on Friday to install a fresh version of Windows 10 Enterprise LTSB as a trial version to test and even after hours of struggle, I failed to fix this problem.

This afternoon I reformatted Windows and installed Windows 10 Home Edition. And once again I have this dreadful problem.

Here's the screenshot to show you what's happening.
Notice how on the right side of my printscreen you can see my desktop wallpaper. The problem is that even if I try to drag the edge of it to cover the right edge. It's like half an inch of gap that cannot be filled to fit the screen!

This part no matter how much I try to drag it will not listen to my command! This problem is occurring on Wordpad as well. If I restart the computer and then try Google Chrome to stretch then it works temporarily. But as soon as I launch a game full screen and then return to desktop this triggers the same problem to happen with my Google Chrome browser.

Notepad and various other windows cannot be stretched and dragged to fit the entire screen. Can someone please assist me on what I need to do to fix this issue? If I can't fix this problem I am returning back to Windows 8.1 or 7 indefinitely!

Grab the Window Header with your mouse and slam it to the top of your screen, should go full screen then...

I know I can do it full screen that way. But I want to be able to stretch to fit the screen without pressing the Full Screen button at the top right corner. This part is broken in Windows 10 because this never ever happened under Windows 8.1 or Windows 7.

It also does not remember the position of the box. After exiting the application and reopening it, it opens up in the same way as original with a gap to the right side. If you press Full Screen the top part of the tab cuts out in Chrome.

This happens with Edge browser as well, it is not remembering the boxed position where I placed it after I relaunch it. With Windows 8.1, 7, Vista and XP I never recalled having such problem! I find it very bizarre. Surely someone knows how to fix this?

Problem solved after Windows Update but for Google Chrome! Now I am able to stretch Google Chrome Full Screen and it is now saved and doesn't reset back with cut edge nor after gaming. This is an improvement!

However, while I see an improvement. This time I am able to make it Full Screen by stretching all the edges. But if I exit and reopen an application like Notepad it would revert back with bordered edges like this. I haven't installed Microsoft Office yet to see if this happens there.

But on Notepad as we can see from this image, this is what happens after I relaunch Notepad. It does not save the stretching. It opens with thin bordered gaps. Anyone knows how to make the settings save for applications like Notepad after closing?

It is working for Google Chrome this time and the setting is remembered! But I would like to have the app remember the stretching from where I left over like it did with previous Operating Systems for all windowed apps. Of-course I can always go Full Screen, it is not a big deal, but a little bit of a nuisance.

Two things. A) It is aesthetically more pleasing to the eyes having something that fits normally without the need of pressing the Maximize button and B) When running games Windowed mode it is important that the game remembers the settings after you close the game down. Some games like Chessmaster can only run windowed and not Full Screen.

The thing is, I am able to this time stretch the entire window to fit all the edges after the Windows update, but this is now working for Google Chrome, but it is not remembering for Notepad and a few other windows. After you exit the application and launch it, it should remember the setting and continue from the position that has been left. Without having to manually do this every single time.

Also it demonstrates a defect in the present scaling system of Windows 10. This is not something I recall ever happening in any of the previous versions of Windows. I've tried with Windows 10 LTSB and now with Home Edition and it is present in both versions.

If this is now working for Google Chrome, there should be a way to configure this for the other applications as well so these settings stick after you close the application and not reopen with bordered gaps!
