    Pausing photo slideshow

    How do I pause a picture slideshow? The normal procedure of right clicking and choosing your options doesn't exist on Windows 10 and it's driving me nuts.

    Try F5. It's not the same as what you're describing, and a little clutzy, but it works.

    @Randyman1375
    Windows Media Player has all the options.

    F5 didn't work and it seems like a pain in the butt to put all my pics in the media player to view them. This shouldn't be this complicated to find the options for a simple slideshow,.

    By 'normal procedure' I'm guessing you mean when you used the Windows Photo Viewer in Windows 7/8. You know it's still included in Windows 10 if you know where to look?

    Sorry if you misunderstood. Right click the folder containing your pictures and Play with Media Player. You don't have to add anything to Media Player.

    Much as I hate to bore you guys to death, I gotta proclaim the gospel of QTTabBar once again!!!

    QTTabBar will play an image slideshow, on a fixed monitor of your choice, (or audio/video playlist), by hovering on an item, invoking by decimal key on numeric keyboard, pause/resume with 5 key...

    Windows Photo Viewer is still my favourite 'quick look' viewer, far faster to open than the default Photos app.

    However, there are better products available. I've not tried @Edwin's QTTabBar, but IrfanView is another popular choice.

    Picasa is still a great viewer, also!
