File Explorer Issue

    File Explorer Issue


    I don't know how explain this, Say I go into a dir that has 400 files in it (on any drive) scroll down to the bottom and i want to rename the file after about 10 to 30 seconds file explorer will go back to the top if I'm in the middle of rename it will delete the file

    this is a fresh install using media creation tool
    i have disabled all software still does it

    Does not do it in safe-mode
    Any Help! this is driving me nuts

    Set the background image on your desktop to a single image, not slideshow, each time the slideshow pic changes it refreshes file explorer...

    Wow, That was it can i ask what changed? I have been using slideshow for years
    anyway to fix it?

    There was also a proposed fix to this involving turning off the auto-colour setting [see Bree's explanation below]

    So have I. Never had any problems. Just tried and I cannot reproduce the effect.

    It's this.... and yes, turning it on does generate the 'jump to the top' effect in Explorer. I've always had it turned off, so wasn't affected.

    It would have to if you are changing the accent colours too as they are also used in File Explorer. Turning off 'automatically pick an accent colour from my background' allows you to use a slideshow without Explorer needing to be refreshed every time the picture changes.

    Sorry it took so long to get back that has fixed the problem Thanks for your Help, Don't know if i need to start another Thread for another problem or just ask here

    Network issue About 1 to 4 weeks i lose internet i have to do a network reset but after network reset i lose the ability to connect to my g-box with file explorer with IP address (\\192.168.1.11), twice now doing reset i get Blue Screen (Driver Power state Failure) windows is useless after that i had to reinstall windows 10 after this (like Yesterday), i searched this and found that i can change a couple settings or most likely it's a driver i use a driver update program i guess i will what happen in a few days or weeks
