Task View turn desktop icon shadows back on. Is there a fix?

After months of success... no headaches, the icon shadow is back thanks to Task View.

Simple fix is don't use Task View.

Is there a fix for this? I've done the below (shadow is even set to zero and TV still turns on shadow and leaves it that way.)

Your link goes to the general 7 help forum page. Have you gone into Advanced System Settings from the Start menu, advanced tab and visual effects? I read that unchecking for 'Use drop shadows for icon labels on the desktop' should solve. If no, that's all I've found so far.

Up front, I know this is an old thread.

Nonetheless I would like to revive this thread: am facing exactly the same issue.

Start\Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\System: > [Settings] > Visual Effects"Use drop shadows for icon lables on the desktop" us unchecked.

However, that doesn't seem to apply to "Task View".

Is this a (minor) bug or is there a real fix ?
