    Push button reset

Push button reset partition was just found on my win10 pro machine.
google search revealed it was seemly an updated version of a restore point.
it takes up 4.2 gigs of the 16 gig partition.
Instructions in its use are sadly lacking.
Anyone have any experience with this ?

What OS did the system have on it originally, Windows 7, 8, 8.1 or 10. If anything other than 10, using the recovery partition from the hard drive will take you back to whatever it had then which is almost certainly not what you want.

I recommend doing an image backup of your current, working system using. The best way to do this is to use Macrium Reflect Free to make an image backup to an external hard drive. If you don't have an external hard drive now is a good time to get one as regular backups should be a part of your normal process. You can get a 1TB external hard drive for $60 (less if on sale).

Once you have that, then any problem can be recovered from in 30 minutes or so, up to and including a hard drive failure.

The Users Guide I found has this:

I was just curious. It wasn't there pre 1809, it was just your standard recovery partition.
