Windows crashes my PC. What services/tasks can be disabled?

Last year, Windows 10 crashed my PC repeatedly. See Is it a hardware problem which has nothing to do with Windows? - Windows 10 Forums
This year, I have used Linux instead of Windows 10, which will only be used in VirtualBox occasionally.
So far, Linux has never crashed my PC, while Windows 10 sometimes does in VirtualBox.
I suspect my motherboard, GIGABYTE GA-H81M-DS2, is not fully compatible with Windows 10. I want to disable some (or most) Windows services/scheduled tasks as a test and see whether the problem can be fixed. Assuming I use Windows 10 only for my Canon scanner and PenPower writing pad, what services/tasks can be disabled?

I wouldn't fiddle with the services in case of unforeseen consequences but you can uninstall the Windows features you don't need.

For my part, the worst consequence is crashes, so I am willing to disable both services and features.

The worst consequence is boot failure

I don't have to boot Windows 10 in VirtualBox.

Actually, you do. The VM is a Virtual Machine and to bring WIndows 10 up, you need to boot it. Once it's booted and if you don't apply any updates you can save the machine state each time you kill it or take a snapshot so you won't have to boot it next time, but sooner or later you will have to boot it, guaranteed.

What services/tasks can be disabled without affecting booting?
