yup that is the screen:)
When you press "Repair" does anything happen, new screens etc or dialogue. Try "Repair" a few times.
I hope this helps you ... http://www.dell.com/support/article/...9/SLN291879/EN
Also if I'm reading this correctly you can get the installation disks from Dell ... http://www.dell.com/support/article/...9/SLN130608/EN
shouldn't it be in C disk instead of D where I have nothing? I checked on link given to me by Torqy mine is out of warranty and tried doing as they said but got no further than I am
No, it's being reported correctly in this instance as d: .
When you press start, to start it normally does it get as far as any window screens or give any messages? or does it do nothing e.g. blank screen.
Dell will supply you with the installation media even though it is out of warranty. I've received my disks by chatting with online support at Dell.
