thanks for the info tried that but no luck, even tried back to last good configuration and that did nothing. Called around and looks like it will cost $130.00 to fix:P Microsoft thank you very much!!!! My recommendation is to leave whatever you have and not down load 10 sooo not worth it

This is from Dell, if you get in I'd try your name/password or even try leaving them blank.

I would download Windows 10 iso from MS website for you Windows 10 pro or home which ever Windows you have. Burn it to disc or pen drive. Boot using dvd and do start up repair within setup.

    From Dell-

If your Dell device is under warranty, you can request a set of backup and recovery discs containing the factory-installed operating system as well as your device's drivers and utilities.

How did you uninstall Windows 10?
Peggy, this is an important question to answer.

There is a tutorial to revert back to the previous OS, but I'm guessing you did not know about it.
See if there is anything in the tutorial that applies to your situation.

Do you have any other means to view the hard drive?
The Win10 install media would allow you to look, or if you can get to the advanced options in Recovery to launch a Command prompt - that would help a bit too.

I think you're past the Repair stage, but I can't really tell until you answer Boozad's question and if you're able to even look at the HD.

Seeing what you see always helps members on this side of your monitor.
Here's how you can grab a screen shot that shows the issue and attach it to a new post.

Use a tablet, a phone or even a camera to take pictures of the screens - readability is the important thing.
